Muscle growth and the improvement of neurological control

Intense strength training is one strategy that significantly improves neurological control. By doing strength training on a frequent basis, the high-intensity repetition of a movement leads, to changes in the nerve connections and activation thresholds. Most bodybuilders know that by triggering mechanical and metabolic stress, they can expect to see an increase in muscle growth. This muscle growth occurs mostly through the enhanced production of extra contractile proteins within the muscle cells. This is otherwise known as muscle hypertrophy. They are among the largest individual cells that are found in the body. Containing mesh-like proteins that can slide past each other, the result is a shortening of the muscle cell (fibre). When you consider the size of a muscle cell, there needs to be an adequate supply of nuclei containing the DNA code to support cellular functions.

BODYBUILDING PEPTIDES – TRIGGERING THE RELEASE OF IGF-1 INTO THE BLOOD
One of the main effects of growth hormone is to signal to the liver that it must produce and release insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) into the blood.
GH also triggers IGF-1 production within the cells.
IGF-1 has proliferative effects. What this means is that it stimulates cell multiplication (hyperplasia.) It also causes an increase in size. (hypertrophy) (Adams 2002, Munteanu 2004, Zingg 2004).
A negative feedback mechanism controls the growth hormone levels in the blood.
GH and IGF-1 levels in the blood prevent GHRH release and increase SST release from the hypothalamus. GH and IGF-1 levels in the blood decrease GH release from the pituitary gland (Patrie 2004, Veldhuis 2001).
These modifications decrease the production of growth hormone until blood levels drop and the negative feedback gets removed.
